LitList Terms of Service

By using LitList's services, you agree to the following terms:

1. Your Relationship with LitList

1a) Much like a phone book, the regular, intended use of LitList is to collect and display information, in plain text format, about literary journals and independent publishers for the reading and writing public. When you add a listing for your journal or press to LitList, we will not sell or redistribute your information to any third party unless we are complying with legal process, preventing fraud or imminent harm, or ensuring the security of our network and services.

1b) In order to use LitList's services, you must first agree to our Terms of Use. You may not use our services if you do not accept our Terms of Use.

2. The Rules

2a) You acknowledge and agree that if LitList disables access to your account, you may be prevented from accessing LitList services, your account details or any files or other content which is contained in your account.

2b) Any mischievous, disrespectful, or malicious behavior will not be tolerated. If you have an account that comes under suspicion of being malicious, or is being used to disrupt the regular, intended use of LitList, it will be temporarily suspended (up to four weeks) for review. If, after review, the account is deemed ill, it will be permanently banned from LitList.

2c) LitList refuses to catalog any publication or website that has pornographic content, discriminatory content, or is harmful to minors. Any user that attempts to list "offensive content" with LitList will be permanently banned.

2d) Unless you have been specifically permitted to do so in a separate agreement with LitList, you agree that you will not reproduce, duplicate, copy, sell, trade or resell LitList's services for any purpose.

2e) Any injection of HTML into forms is strictly prohibited. Any account practicing this type of disruption will be permanently banned.

3. Passwords and Security

3a) You agree and understand that you are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of passwords associated with any account you use to access LitList services.

3b) If, however, you become aware of any unauthorized use of your password or of your account, you agree to notify LitList immediately at this link: click here.

4. Terms

4a) LitList withholds the right to change these Terms of Agreement at any time. The most recent version of the Terms will always be available on this exact webpage.

5. Emails from LitList

5a) You agree to let LitList send you emails regarding LitList features, news, and blog entries as long as you have and maintain an account profile with LitList.
