BROADSIDED SEEKS poetry and prose that is evocative, riveting, and not too esoteric. Broadsides are out on the streets, and we hope that they compel all kinds of people to stop, read, and consider. If accepted, your work will be responded to visually by one of the talented artists associated with this project. (www.broadsidedpress.org)
Broadsided: The Switcheroo IIIWriters, we invite you to submit work in response to the image posted on our website by Elizabeth Terhune, titled "Among Trees."
Responses need not be literal—you may take off in any tangent the work suggests. However, the art and writing must, together, work to create a greater piece.
The usual guidelines apply for submissions (see www.broadsidedpress.org/guides.shtml). Please CLEARLY mark your submission "Switcheroo" in the email header, as we are also accepting regular submissions during this time.
We must receive your submission by March 15, 2008 to be considered for the Switcheroo. The Broadsided Switcheroo will be published on April 1, 2008.
