Guernica: A Magazine of Art and Politics
Guernica: A Magazine of Art and Politics is always looking to publish talented, insightful and creative new writers.
Since the inception of Guernica, the steadily growing response from readers has been pleasing. This we largely attribute to the intelligent, thought-provoking and memorable writing of our contributors. Our nonfiction, fiction and poetry contributors, and interview subjects, come from all over the world, and we are always looking for more.
Guernica embraces its range of coverage and confluence of approaches—and our intersection of arts beside politics and international affairs has become our hallmark. Our one criterion: writing of the highest quality. Some types of essays we’re looking for (though we welcome your pitches for other kinds) are:
* letters from abroad
* investigative pieces
* profiles of artists/writers/musicians or political figures
* opinion pieces on international affairs and U.S. domestic politics and foreign policy
* or anything exploring the crossroads between art and politics.
