Raving Dove, a nonprofit online literary journal, publishes thought-provoking writing, photography, and art from around the world that opposes the use of violence as conflict resolution, and embraces the intrinsic themes of peace and human rights.
Published in February, June, and October. Reading period: year-round.
Evolve Beyond Violence Nonfiction Essay Award ($1,000)First annual Evolve Beyond Violence Nonfiction Essay Award, with themes that include anti-violence, anti-war, and peace. Word range: 600 to 800. First prize $1,000, three honorable mentions, all to receive publication. Open to Raving Dove members, with no additional entry fee. Submission period: March 1, 2008, through September 1, 2008.
