Spire Press is a small independent literary press dedicated to promoting talented new and neglected poets and writers. Recent authors include Jackie Bartley, Wanda Praisner, Celia Lisset Alvarez, and Phebe Davidson.
Spire Spring Poetry Chapbook Contest ($500)This contest re-opens January 1st, 2008.
$500 + 20 copies (full-color cover) and standard publishing contract.
Blind-judging as per CLMP contest ethics. 18-30 pages (one poem per page) with title on each page.
Please include a cover page with name, address, and title. Acknowledgements will be requested from chosen manuscripts, but are not required at this time because they are not considered in the judging.
