Green Mountains Review publishes poetry, fiction, creative nonfiction, interviews, book reviews, and literary essays by promising newcomers and well-known writers from across the country. Our current issue, the 20th anniversary double-issue on Literature of the American Apocalypse, features poems and prose, darkly comic or deadly serious, that center on American dread, inspired by everything from the Bush Administration's war on terror and war on privacy, to continuing threats of environmental degradation, nuclear annhilation, world-ravaging disease, or whatever else can be imagined by an end-of-days mind.
