Ledge Poetry & Fiction Magazine, The

Founded in 1988 by its editor-in-chief and publisher Timothy Monaghan, The Ledge Poetry & Fiction Magazine is published annually and features new and exciting work by both established and emerging poets and writers. Each perfect-bound issue of The Ledge Magazine contains over 200 pages of cutting-edge contemporary poetry and fiction by a diverse group of contributors of all backgrounds and persuasions. The Ledge is open to all styles and schools of writing. We especially enjoy well-crafted work, both formal and free verse poems, as well as memorable poems and stories that utilize language in imaginative and innovative ways. We firmly believe that superior writing appeals to a wider audience than most literary journals endeavor to reach, and consider The Ledge Poetry & Fiction Magazine a truly democratic publication in that regard.
The Ledge is nationally distributed by Ubiquity Distributors (Brooklyn, NY), and our circulation of 1,500 copies per issue includes 750 subscribers.
The Ledge also sponsors annual fiction and poetry awards competitions, and an annual poetry chapbook competition.
