Fugue

Fugue, the literary journal published out of the University of Idaho, is a student-run literary magazine that has been publishing the work of new and established writers since 1990. Home to "The Experiment" and host to annual prose and poetry contests, the journal aims to create a fugue of stories, poems, essays, interviews and artwork which together form a distinct artistic voice. Past contributors include Stephen Dunn, Philip Levine, Michael Martone, W.S. Merwin, Sharon Olds, Jim Shepard, Melanie Rae Thon, James Reiss, Natasha Tretheway, Franz Wright, Robert Wrigley and Dean Young. Recent contest judges include Chris Abani, Jo Ann Beard, Tony Hoagland, Rebecca McClanahan and Campbell McGrath.
